What Your Third Eye Can Tell You About This Solar Eclipse
Eclipse season has a message for each of us. Here's how to decipher yours.
So the first half of this eclipse season has yanked the covers off of some difficult themes: conflict, fascism, xenophobia, racism, gun violence, falling empires, loss of rights, free speech, I can go on. But the bigger question at this point is what will the second half of eclipse season bring? More importantly, what will it bring to you?
With the solar eclipse set to take place in Virgo on September 21, the only thing we can be sure of is that life-changing events will continue to play out over the next couple of weeks and change the course of where we’re going collectively and individually.
I don’t recommend that anyone do too much during eclipse season because it’s a time in which events tend to happen beyond our control. There will be time to respond to those events once the season is over. However, eclipses have plenty of messages for each of us about the world we live in and what’s likely to happen next in our personal worlds.
There is a lot an eclipse can tell you if you’re willing to use your third eye. Here are some ways to make sure you notice all of the messages and signs eclipse season has for you.
Look for auspicious signs.
While it’s always a good idea to look for signs and synchronicities, be even more cognizant of them during eclipse season. Signs can give you an idea about whether this eclipse season will be ushering hopeful experiences into your life or more challenging ones.
You know better than anyone what constitutes a sign and what it means to you. For example, I saw a rainbow today and for me that is one of the most optimistic signs I could get. It made me hopeful that this eclipse season would be bringing positive experiences and even the challenging ones might be for the greater good. If I saw something unusual that I associate with negativity (say, a spider or a rat), I would prepare myself mentally for a challenging time.
Also note that a lot of attention is being paid to things that are happening around the world and what the eclipse is showing us politically. While it’s important to notice patterns in the world around us, don’t forget to pay attention to how the eclipse is likely to affect you personally, such as in your relationships, your job or your health.
Note who enters or re-enters your life.
Solar eclipses tend to be about new chapters or new beginnings. It’s not unusual for new relationships to begin during a solar eclipse or for an old relationship to be renewed.
With that said, pay particular attention to people who come into your life for the first time during eclipse season, even if it seems as if that person will only play a minor role in your life. When looking back in retrospect, we often find that some of our most transforming relationships started during eclipse seasons. You may even meet someone and spend only five minutes with them during eclipse season, only to find that the relationship blossoms years later.
Also pay attention to those who re-enter your life after a period of separation. The eclipse could mark a turning point in the relationship.
Ask to be shown angel numbers.
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night only to notice that the clock says 3:33? Or 2:22? Or some other variation of repetitive numbers? You may also see repeating numbers on a billboard, a license plate or even a grocery store receipt. Repetitive numbers are called angel numbers, and they are signs from the Universe that can help us recognize that something is important.
Whenever you see an angel number, stop and consider what you were thinking about when the number appeared. There’s a good chance that number will provide some insight about the situation you were thinking about. For example, if I was thinking about reaching out to a friend I hadn’t spoken to in six months and I looked up and saw 111, I would consider that a sign that I should make that call as soon as possible.
During this eclipse season, pay attention to angel numbers that appear when you’re thinking about certain areas of your life.

Enhance your dream routine.
There is often a lot we can learn from our dreams – mainly because our defenses are down and our conscious mind isn’t over-analyzing everything. Our connection to the Universe is unblocked allowing for information to come through.
For the rest of eclipse season take steps to make it even easier for information to come through.
First, give yourself extra time to sleep. Consider going to bed earlier than usual or setting aside some time to nap so you have more time to receive information.
Light a purple candle (purple symbolizes spiritual matters) and set the intention to receive messages about the eclipse season changes that apply to your life, whether they be global or political events or those that affect you on a more individual level. If you have specific questions that you want answers to, set the intention that you get those answers. It’s not necessary to light the candle on the actual day of the eclipse but do so at least in the days around the eclipse. Use a snuffer to put the flame out while you’re actually sleeping.
